New archaeological work in Ridgefield is using ground penetrating radar to locate buried features and possible graves tied to the Battle of Ridgefield. Researchers are searching for the foundation of the historic Stebbins House and unmarked burials believed to include at least 18 American and British casualties. The project is funded by a National Park Service grant.
