A head-on collision on Main Street in Newtown left three people hurt Friday evening, after a Nissan Altima crossed the center line and slammed into a RAM pickup near Academy Lane. First responders had to cut the Nissan’s driver free before rushing the seriously injured operator to Danbury Hospital. The RAM’s driver suffered moderate injuries and the passenger a minor one. Police are still investigating and asking anyone who saw the crash to contact them.
