The Center for Empowerment & Education will hold its 17th Annual Hearts of Hope Breakfast tomorrow at The Candlewood Inn in Brookfield. The event supports survivors of domestic and sexual violence. This year’s keynote speaker is Wendy Bernard—a military veteran, attorney, and survivor. The Ridgefield Thrift Shop will be honored with the “Service Above Self” Award for its decades of volunteer-run support. Funds raised will go directly to CEE’s outreach and survivor services.
