67 year old John Fairchild appeared in state Superior Court on Wednesday without his attorney as questions about legal representation and case delays came up. Fairchild faces a third-degree child sexual abuse material possession charge after a December 2024 Danbury apartment raid found inappropriate images on a tablet. Judge Thomas J. Saadi pressed Fairchild to clarify whether new counsel will be retained before the next court date on Nov. 19. The case stems from an investigation into the April 2024 death of Fairchild’s wife, whose remains were found in a house fire, with the cause of death ruled undetermined.
