Middle-income families in Connecticut have a new shot at homeownership. Applications are now open for five affordable prefab homes across Litchfield County. The program targets households earning up to the area median income—about $93,000 for two people—and able to support a mortgage between $250,000 and $280,000. The land will be held by nonprofit housing groups, but buyers will own the homes. Additional rounds may be offered if demand remains high.
