More Connecticut Walgreens Shutting Their Doors

Walgreens is closing more Connecticut stores next month. Locations in Milford and Middletown are on the latest list of stores that will shut down on April 21 and 23, respectively. Prescriptions will be transferred to nearby Walgreens stores, and affected customers will be notified by mail. These closures add to others recently announced. The pharmacy chain, which had 99 stores statewide at the end of 2024, is reducing locations as part of a broader restructuring. The announcement comes weeks after Walgreens was acquired by a private equity firm in a $10 billion deal.
