Connecticut’s MyCTSavings program is adding penalties for employers that fail to comply. Starting in 2026, businesses with five or more workers that do not enroll in MyCTSavings or offer a private retirement plan could face annual fines. Those range from $500 for small employers to $1,500 for companies with 100 or more employees. The program, run by the State Comptroller’s Office, lets workers save for retirement through payroll deductions into a Roth IRA at no cost to the business. Employers are urged to register now to avoid penalties.
