A New Milford accountant will serve three years in prison for stealing more than $50,000 from clients in three separate cases. 41 year old Carl Anderson was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty to larceny charges tied to his tax and bookkeeping business. He was arrested three times between December 2023 and March 2024, accused of stealing from clients who hired him for financial services. Anderson made full restitution before sentencing and will also serve three years of probation. Prosecutors say he was previously convicted of similar crimes in Washington state.
