New Milford Drunk Driver Facing Charges

A New Milford man is facing DUI and reckless driving charges after crashing his BMW into a utility pole in New Fairfield last month. Police say 51-year-old Jonathan Beck was drunk when he lost control on Route 39, taking out the pole, knocking out power, and shutting down the road overnight. Beck and a passenger were treated for minor injuries. His blood alcohol level tested at 0.20—more than twice the legal limit. He’s due in Danbury Superior Court Friday.
