A 52-year-old Newtown woman was charged with DUI after officers say she tried to hide a wine bottle under her car’s center console during a traffic stop. Police responded to multiple 911 calls about a swerving white Honda and found the car parked with the engine running. Breath tests showed her blood alcohol level was above the legal limit. She was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in court December 9.
