One person suffered serious, non-life-threatening injuries Saturday afternoon after a crash and car fire on northbound Route 8 in Shelton between Exits 7 and 9. State police said the car spun, hit a guardrail, and caught fire. The driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities continue investigating the cause of the crash.
