Plan for 75-unit Apartment Complex in Bethel Draws Pushback From Neighbor

A New York developer plans to build a 75-unit apartment building on Nashville Road in Bethel, replacing two single-family homes. Manhattan-based Vessel Technologies says the project qualifies for a state density bonus because 30 percent of the units will be affordable. But one longtime resident living next to the site is not on board. Robert Sutton told reporters that he feels boxed in by the growing number of multi-family developments there. A public hearing is set for late this month.
