A Connecticut Police Chief has abruptly retired after a Mayor says the chief admitted stealing money from a city fund used to pay confidential informants. The mayor of New Haven says officers flagged discrepancies and confronted Karl Jacobson Monday morning. Now, the Assistant Police Chief has been named acting chief as state authorities consider who will lead the criminal investigation. City officials there, say the scope of the theft is still unknown.
