A private New York golf club with 300 acres stretching into Danbury is looking to demolish 11 aging structures and rebuild much of its operation. Morefar Back O’ Beyond Golf Club wants a new clubhouse, housing units, a meeting venue, a fitness center, and a revamped driving range. Danbury’s wetlands commission is reviewing the Connecticut side of the plan, which also includes reshaping several holes. The club says the upgrades won’t harm nearby properties and will blend with the natural surroundings.
