The Center for Empowerment and Education will mark Domestic Violence Awareness Month with a purple flag raising at Danbury City Hall on Wednesday, October 1 at 11 a.m. Before the ceremony, staff will carry the Silent Witness display — silhouettes honoring victims lost to domestic violence — in a walk from CEE’s office to City Hall. The event also launches SafeWalk 2025, the group’s annual fundraising and awareness effort supporting no-cost programs for survivors in northern Fairfield and southern Litchfield counties.
