Across the border in New York State, a man was caught with a homemade weapon just hours before he was set to be released from the Putnam County Correctional Facility. Deputies say the 32 year old inmate was found with the contraband that they believe he made while in custody. He’s now charged with first-degree promoting prison contraband.
