Rally Outside Governor’s Residence for Striking Workers Bill

A small group of people rallied outside the Governor’s Residence in Hartford calling on Governor Ned Lamont to sign a bill that would give unemployment benefits to striking workers. Senate Bill 8 passed the legislature, but Lamont is expected to veto it, saying it would hurt Connecticut’s business climate. Union leaders and workers say the bill would level the playing field during labor disputes. Governor Lamont didn’t even see it. He was in Paris during the demonstration.
