Ridgefield Pulling Back The Reins On Large Scale Development

Ridgefield’s Planning & Zoning Commission has delayed a vote on a proposed six-month moratorium on large-scale commercial and mixed-use developments. The measure is aimed at pausing projects over 5,000 square feet. Officials say the pause, which comes as Ridgefield considers multiple housing developments, including one at the former Red Rooster Pub site would allow the town to review zoning regulations. The hearing will continue on February 25 or March 4.
