Ridgefield is restarting its push for a new public safety complex after two referendums failed, including one in November that cut the project’s size and cost. Town officials say the goal now is to start with a blank slate and get more public buy-in before any new design takes shape. Plans include surveys, a town hall meeting starting in March, and outreach at public buildings and online so residents can weigh in on what they want, and what they won’t support. The committee has approved $1,750 to build a survey and data set focused on why voters rejected the previous proposals.
