A section of Route 133 in Brookfield was closed after a car slammed into a utility pole Wednesday afternoon. The Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company said the crash happened just before 1 p.m. between Maple Tree Road and Obtuse Rocks Road. The driver refused medical treatment and was not taken to the hospital.
