Shelton Menorah Lighting to Serve as Stand Against Hate

Jewish families and local residents will gather today at Huntington Green in Shelton for the annual community menorah lighting. This year’s event follows a deadly antisemitic attack in Bondi Beach, Australia, and is intended as both a holiday celebration and a public stand against hatred. Rabbi Shneur Brook of Chabad of Shelton emphasized the menorah as a symbol of hope and resilience. Local police will provide increased security. The event is open to all, featuring traditional lighting, music, holiday treats, and a laser show.
