Connecticut is awarding 28 point 2 million dollars in brownfield grants to clean up 16 blighted sites across 13 towns and cities. State officials say the projects will return more than 200 acres to productive use and help create about 835 housing units, including affordable homes. The funding is expected to leverage more than 354 million dollars in private investment and drive redevelopment statewide.
