Connecticut State Police say troopers handled heavy demand during Sunday’s snowstorm, responding to 1,080 calls for service statewide. Police report 329 of those calls were motor assists involving stuck or spun out vehicles. Troopers also investigated 71 crashes. Police credited drivers who stayed off the roads when possible, saying it reduced hazards and allowed emergency crews to do their jobs.
