More than 150 volunteers joined United Way of Coastal and Western Connecticut on Tuesday for its annual Day of Action. Teams from 12 corporate partners tackled hands-on projects at 17 nonprofit sites across the region—from Bridgeport to Stamford and New Milford to Danbury. Volunteers helped with landscaping, organizing donations, and revitalizing community spaces. The event, rooted in a tradition dating back to 1994, aims to strengthen local service organizations through direct community involvement.
