Gas Vehicle Ban Unlikely

A plan by Governor Lamont to phase out sales of gas-powered vehicles here in Connecticut is now facing what the governor calls a little “setback.” Connecticut lawmakers are expected to vote next week on proposed regulations that would follow California’s lead of phasing out the sale of gas-powered cars by 2035. A bipartisan panel though, can reject it with a simple majority vote, meaning the loss of support from just one of the committee’s seven Democrats would doom the idea.
