A new four-story, 18-unit apartment building at 25 Church Street in downtown New Milford is ready to welcome tenants after nearly a year of construction. Developed by Danbury brothers Scott and David Benincasa, the “state of the art” building offers covered parking, an elevator, and in-unit washers and dryers. Six units are designated as affordable housing. Applications have already started coming in, and tenants are expected to move in by October 1. The project received tax breaks from the town, saving the brothers around $43,000 annually for five years.
