Danbury Police have released the identity of the woman who was found dead last week in her car which was parked at a local shopping center. Originally, it was reported that she was 79 years old, but on Monday police said she was 74 year old Nancy Proudfoot who was known to be homeless. On Monday, the state medical examiner’s office… after conducting an autopsy… ruled that Proudfoot died of a heart attack, but they said a pre-existing heart condition was an additional cause, and the cold weather may have also played a role. Police believe Proudfoot had been living in the car, which was parked in the Nutmeg Square plaza. Foul play has been ruled out.
