Congresswoman Jahana Hayes recently joined WestCOG and the Town of Bethel to celebrate WestCOG’s Safe Streets and Roads For All grant award. The project will make vehicular and pedestrian safety improvements at approximately 90 locations in the region to address an increase in traffic crashes. They include new or restriped high-visibility crosswalks, curb extensions, dynamic speed feedback signs, and other measures to make it easier and safer to walk or bike in downtown areas and to increase connectivity between municipalities in the region.
