Moody’s Pulls Danbury Credit Rating

Moody’s has pulled the City of Danbury’s credit rating due to delayed audits from 2021, 2022, and 2023. Mayor Roberto L. Alves claims the delays were caused by fiscal mismanagement from the previous administration. He now says his team has been working to address the issues, but he also says the situation he inherited was more severe than expected. Alves is now telling Danbury residents that while fixing the problems will take time, his administration is committed to restoring the city’s financial stability. The 2023 audit is expected by this December.
