Funding To Add Support To Solid Waste Disposal

The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has announced $15 million in grant funding for municipalities and regional entities to address the state’s solid waste disposal crisis. As traditional waste disposal options become more expensive and scarce, this funding aims to develop new waste management infrastructure. The program encourages projects that focus on waste reduction and diversion, with an emphasis on regional collaboration. Applications are due by December 6, but there will be a virtual information session soon… on September 16.
