The first ever girl’s rugby team has been formed at Ridgefield High School and it has about 20 girls as members already. The team formed in February, and it’s open to any girl at Ridgefield High. It’s actually a club sport… and that means it’s independently funded so they are doing fundraisers to pay for their own equipment. Actually, while the team is a first for Ridgefield, girls rugby at the national level is gaining momentum.
