Goetz, who recently ran for town clerk, was accused of assaulting Mansa. Police reports indicated that Goetz acted in self-defense. Both sides have since settled the case. Mansa claimed to have sustained serious injuries during the altercation. The lawsuit’s withdrawal was described as a “business decision” by the insurance company.
