In Southbury, police are looking for suspects involved in a purse snatching incident at the Southbury Library on Poverty Road. An 80-year-old woman’s purse was forcibly taken as she was getting into her vehicle. The suspects fled in a stolen black Cadillac XT5 with Rhode Island plates, taken earlier from Stonington. One suspect, described as a 5’8″ man in black clothing and a blue face mask, exited the passenger side during the robbery. Anyone spotting the vehicle should contact police but not approach it.
