Brookfield’s Candlewood Lake Elementary School has introduced a new recess schedule for second through fifth graders. Starting this school year, students will have two 10-minute recess periods instead of a single 20-minute break. Kindergarten and first-grade students will continue with a 30-minute recess. The adjustment, which includes additional transition time, is designed to enhance student well-being and provide more consistent physical activity throughout the day.
