A new grassroots initiative, Replanting Ridgefield, is addressing the numerous dead trees along Main Street. It came about after a resident noticed nearly 50 missing trees during his morning walks. Now, the Ridgefield Rotary Club and Tree Committee have launched a multi-year project. Their goal is to replace 50 to 75 trees along Main Street and key town entrances. The effort is funded by private donations.
