A carnival worker was arrested last Friday at Fairfield’s SeptemberFest after grabbing a minor she believed was stealing from a game trailer. Police say 35-year-old Amanda Stewart from Newtown was charged with second-degree breach of peace after witnesses reported she roughly grabbed the minor by the neck. Officers confirmed the minors were behind the trailer but had not stolen anything. Stewart was released and is due in court on September 25. The minor was not injured but was asked not to return to the fair by the carnival manager.
