Alcohol Compliance Checks Reveal 4 Violators

Last Friday, members from the Danbury Police Department Detective Bureau, working with the Connecticut Department of Liquor Control, conducted unannounced compliance inspections of establishments that sell off-premise alcohol. The inspections were performed to determine compliance with state laws concerning the prohibition of the sale of alcohol to minors under the age of 21. A total of 24 unannounced compliance inspections were conducted. Of this total, 4 establishments were found to sell alcohol to minors under 21. The Connecticut Department of Liquor Control submitted an investigation report and will be following up with possible enforcement action.
