Danbury Man Sentenced In Shooting Case

A Danbury man is headed to prison for his part in a shooting that took place three years ago. 32 year old Andrew Fermin was sentenced in state superior court in Danbury, on two counts of second degree assault and criminal possession of a firearm, in connection with a shooting back in January 2020 at Castello Restaurant that left two people injured. Fermin was ordered to spend 10 years in jail, suspended after five, plus five years probation for the firearm possession charge; one year in jail for one of the assault charges; and four years in jail, suspended after one year, plus five years probation for the other… all as part of a plea deal with prosecutors. Fermin has been in custody since his arrest in March 2020.
