Danbury Mayor Dean Esposito declared a Level 2 Snow Emergency at 5pm on Monday, and he also announced that parking is prohibited on city streets. To avoid having your vehicle ticketed and towed, it must have been moved to off-street parking by 7PM Monday. The Patriot Parking Garage was opened at 5pm yesterday to accommodate those who needed space to comply with the weather emergency. The mayor also asked Danbury residents not to travel on City streets unless it is absolutely necessary until they are cleared. The Mayor said stay safe, and if you have family, friends, and neighbors, make sure they are safe as well until the storm passes and things are cleaned up.
